Want me to lie for RICA

<p>I opened up a FNB account online, went to Clearwater mall to collect my card with proof of address as well as identification, everything required for RICA. When I offered my lease contract as proof of address, the lady who assisted me said that won't be required. I made a deposit into my new account and when I wanted to use my account for the first time, the ATM slip said my account is frozen. Went back to Clearwater mall to query this, now all of a sudden they require a proof of address. I had an insurance document from August at hand, but it cannot be accepted. The person assisting me asked if I have any other accounts. I have an account with Capitec that still has my old address, the staff member said that's fine, we can use that to unfreeze the account. Now I am required to lie about my proof of address with an address that doesn't belong to me anymore. Where is the honesty and integrity in that? What is the purpose of the proof of address if it isn't even a correct address? This is insane. I bring documents with correct information on and I am being advised to bring ********** documentation of an address where I don't even live anymore? That is pathetic. I cannot work with a bank that wants me to lie on documentation just to suit them. I am closing my account and staying with Capitec. At least there I know I don't have to lie to get access to my own money.</p>
