Violation of POPI Act - Courier company with FNB

On the 18/11/2015 I received sms and calls from a courier company Mr. Delivery advising they would be delivering my FNB personal credit card on FNB behalf. They had me confirm my ID and physical address along with asking me personal questions before talking to me and providing me with any further info. I am shocked as they had all my info, and i never gave authorisation for FNB to share my info with any 3rd party supplier. Mr Delivery went on to say i need to make a copy of my ID and provide their driver with the copy and a original proof of residency, as its one of FNB's requirements. I as a FNB client am now exposed to risk, and even worse I need to give an absolute stranger my personal details, and put myself at credit card ***** risk and if not much worse with the info I was requested to provide on delivery of MY credit card. It amazes me how FNB values their clients business and money, and how they seem to never protect clients best interests. FNB's processes and supposed efficiencies come first, even if it means putting clients at risk. I find this by both FNB and Mr Delivery to be in violation of the POPI act, as my personal data and info has been shared without my approval.
