Victim of ID Theft

I have been loyal FNB customer for over 15 years, if not closer to 20. Recently I found that my ID number is **********ly being used by someone, to create ********** accounts for steeling goods. It has been reported to the necessary authorities. At the time my bank account was not jeopardised, I phoned the FNB ***** department who advised me that it is not necessary to close the account. They cannot put any debits against my account with out my PIN, which I receive on my phone, via SMS. Today MTN has logged a debit against my account of R821. I phone my bank's FRUAD Department, to advise them that this attempt has successfully been made against my account as per my SMS. The person who answered the call at ********** 444 - told me I can block the debit and reverse it, she put me through to the Debit department to block the debit ********** 404. The lady on the other side said, I have to pay R18.00 to cancel and reverse the debit. I was very agitated as I feel it am a victim of crime and should not pay for something I did not agree to have this debit on my account, she said that is what the system charges and if I don't want to pay it I must speak to the ***** Department. I phoned the ***** line again - ********** 444, I told the lady who answered, that I am not happy to pay the R18.00, as I am a victim in this. I cannot pay R18.00 for EVERY ******* debit against my name. She, from FNB ***** Department ********** , told me that it is not the bank's fault, that I am a victim of Identify theft. I phoned ********** 404 - I have hold on 70 min, to speak to someone to have this debit reversed, at R18.00. I am going to close this account, and find another bank, who is willing to provide me with great service, but most of all, SECURITY and guidance when something goes wrong.
