Very unhappy after switching from Absa to FNB!!!!!
I have switched to FNB from Absa about five months ago and have been extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received from FNB thus far. Firstly, it was an absolute mission to switch my debit orders (even though they made it sound so simple). I still have not closed my Absa account due to some debit orders not being switched as yet. Secondly, I keep receiving blank credit card statements (not sure for which card this is as the card number does not correspond with the one I am using). Thirdly, I receive SMS'es a week after purchases have been made. With Absa I received immediate SMS notifications when there was any movement in my account. With FNB my card can be cloned and my account depleted by the time an SMS notification reaches me. I have phoned their call centre numerous times to complain and the service I receive from their call centre is appalling!!! It took me 25 minutes of holding to speak to a human being and when this man couldn't provide me with answers, he simply dropped the call. Think twice before you decide to switch to FNB! It is not as simple and convenient as they make it out to be. It is a nightmare dealing with them!!!
