Very inconvenienced

I had FNB funeral cover that lapsed after I lost my job and they kept on depositing on my empty account monthly for 3 months.Now my savings account and other FNB accounts has been deactivated because they say I must pay about R1300. Even though I haven't benefited anything from that Funeral cover and they benefited from all the previous debits that went through, I'm failing to understand why are they saying I owe a lapsed account that has helped me in anyway.
