Very Dissatisfied FNB customer!

Good Day

My name is Shiksha Singh and I am currently an FNB Premier customer. I have been banking with FNB for the last 3 years and my premier cheque account is my primary bank account which I use to conduct all my transnational needs on a monthly basis.

I write this email to you to plea with you as a customer to please read my current situation and to seriously look into my profile to see how best you can assist me.

I have tried to apply for credit with FNB which would have been a credit card or an overdraft facility and on both occasions I have been declined, the reason behind it is that i do not meet the lending criteria, when I questioned this to find out exactly what the issues are so that I may address them accordingly I was not given proper information, apart from this I have tried calling in to speak with a banking consultant but the process of trying to get this right is so frustrating that I am currently at the point of moving my bank account to another bank.

I am currently permanently employed where I earn a basic salary plus commission on a monthly basis. I have recently pulled my transunion credit report, my experian credit report, and the compuscan credit report. All these reports are confirming a credit rating of over 600.

This is my current situation: On my name I have a home loan with standard bank, which I rent out to tenants, I have a lease agreement in place, the bond debit order does not get debited from my cheque account on a monthly basis, my tenants pay the bond directly each month from their bank account to my standard bank home loan.

I have a vehicle financed on my name with standard bank, which my dad pays for, as he has been doing for the last 4 years from the first debit order on that vehicle, he signed a debit order acceptance form with standard bank during the time that the contract for the vehicle was signed confirming that he will be paying for the vehicle. I can supply his bank statements to confirm this.

I have a loan with standard bank which is the only expense that I currently pay for.

Having said that I would like to ask for FNB to get a credit manager to assess my application for a credit card or overdraft facility to take into consideration based on the fact that I currently do not pay for a monthly installment of R5800 on the bond and R1900 on the car that I can be granted a credit facility.

After taking this into consideration, they would be able to assess my risk profile and confirm that I can afford to get a credit facility and that my actual monthly expenditure does not exceed my income.

Please I need to deal with one person at FNB who is going to take responsibility of assisting me, and that understands and can motivate my request correctly, if I cannot be assisted I would like a complete explanation as to why, and then I will be more than happy to close off my account with FNB and move to another bank who would be willing to assist me.

Please note that at this stage I am ready to send my complaint off to the CEO of FNB Jacques Ceillers so that I can see exactly how committed this bank is to helping their customers.
