Very Disappointed

15 June 2017, I made a purcahse online with reputable international retailer Amazon with my debit card for an amount of R3244.88. The order was cancelled for what the company termed a 'Technical Problem' later that day. Since the retailer canceled my order soon after the order was placed, the amount has remained on what is termed 'pending' on my First National Bank account. This is basically a 'window period' before transactions exit your bank account.

Today is the 29th of July and FNB is still withholding my money in the pending stage which means I can't access it. Bear in mind that this is my business account and my only source of income right now. Everytime I speak to one of their consultants over the phone, I keep hearing that the only way to release the money into my bank account is to get the supplier(Amazon) to write FNB a letter stating the order was canceled. Amazon has given me a cancellation code to give to FNB so they may release my money. FNB is hellbent that the only way to release the money is for Amazon to email them with a company letter head and basically state that the order is canceled. This is apparaently the only way to release my money back into my bank account. Amazon has given me a cancellation code and will not send a letter to FNB confirming the cancellation code because it's not in their interests to meddle in bank transaction issues and that is understandable. I do expect my bank to do it's own investigations for one of their loyal cutomers.

After being advised to email ********** I got no response from this lovely bunch of people.

After calling the bank several times, I told the last consultant that I am left with no choice but to expose this matter to Hellopeter. The cheecky telephone consultant rep**** that it is right my right to call Hellopeter. She then kept calling me afterwards insisting that I tell her the name of the agent who helped me in the bank. Unfortuntely for her, I had already left the bank and did not note who helped me inside the bank. She kept calling to insist that I go to the bank and find out who helped me so I could tell her. This just seemed very strange to me that a consultant would act like this. I even had to get my girlfriend to answer my phoone because she was so annoying.

Please can somebody from FNB escalate my problem and get it resolved without giving me additional headaches.
