VCS Right Cover and Transunion
Please don't forward this to my private Banker, I need ***** department to deal with it directly.
I've been contacted the bank in middle of December 2019 to dispute 2 transactions of R99 from some company called VCS Right Cover, the funds were then reversed in the same month of December, was also informed that the card has been hotlisted as it was canceled back in June 2019. Towards the end of December 2019, the same purchases started with to deduct the same amount and after seeing a second deduction in January, I contacted the bank again. This time I was told they'll get back to me and never did, then I contacted the bank again during the beginning of February and again I was told within 7 days the matter will be resolved and I will receive the 2 amounts deducted. I now had to contact the bank for the again on 26 Feb as the same VCS deducted another R99 and this time I spoke to Nthabiseng who without listening to me started to talk about my 'dispute of toll gates' and I allowed her to talk as she wouldn't give me a chance to speak. So she used a blanket approach on a client without understanding why I was calling, when she was done telling me stories I then corrected her by saying this is a purchase and not toll gates. She then asked for my ID number and again said that I'm confusing a purchase with a toll gate as she 'could see' that in December my disputed transactions were toll gates, again I had to correct someone who was now supposedly looking at my profile. Then after holding for a while she then came back to say "this is a credit bureau and I must unsubscribe from it". This conversation felt like one of us was a totally clueless, in this case Nthabiseng was, as she seemed to be guessing what the problem was. I confirmed with her that I have subscribed on an annual basis with Transunion, not monthly and now she really started to speak with conviction about how Transunion is responsible for this deductions. She said on her side no refund will take place until a "manager's discretion" is obtained, as I was supposed to be informed previously that once I had a first reversal of this funds in December, I was never going to get another refund as she once reversed something like this and was informed by her manager to not do it again. I have been advised to unsubscribe to Transunion and I have requested a feedback from her department as I've been getting silent treatment with this issue. I'm starting to wonder how long will this "R99 donations" deduct from my account or should I close this account as there seems to be no solution from the bank?
