Useless FNB Private Clients Banking service

There is nothing Private Banking-like about this service. For the last 3 weeks I have been trying to contact my 'private banker' who has always been 'unavailable'. I am then offered the option of speaking to the next available 'private banker', and when I choose that option I am again told that the next available 'private banker' is also not available.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any kind of banking; private or not. I had better service with FNB when I was not using their Private Banking option. I have been a client of FNB since 2009 and when I started raising my concerns about how they have treated (or not treated me given how long I've banked with them) they could not care less and now I have opened another account with a different bank.

I have been trying to downgrade my FNB Private Clients account to their cheapest option and asked the banker I miraculously got hold of to effect this. To date I have no idea if this has been done as I cannot find out using my online banking (which I have been trying to call them about to resolve as well but once again their 'Private Bankers' are perenially unavailable).

This has by far the biggest waste of money I have incurred in relation to banking. If you ask the private banker for anything, they refer you to another department and ask you to engage that department yourself. e.g. this is what happened when I asked for a review on my home loan. Absolute waste of money and a shocking level and quality of service. Never again!
