Unwanted Overdraft Facility

I HAVE AN UNWANTED OVERDRAFT FACILITY THAT FNB WILL NOT DISABLE WHICH I AM BEING CHARGED MONTHLY INTEREST ON.

I have had an FNB account for approx 10 years now and I was upgraded to an Aspire account a few years ago. Without me realizing every couple of weeks my account would automatically transfer funds from my current account to a linked holding 'Savings' account known as 'BYC' - Bank Your Change. In my head I would know that I had for example R 4000 in my account but my account would transfer R 1,200 from my current account to my savings account leaving me with R 2,800 in my account. I would spend R 3,500 from my current account on groceries/or make sure I had enough funds in my account for debit orders but when I would check my account a few days later I would find my account to be overdrawn, in negative figures including interest fee charges... sometimes being charged R 200 - R 400 per day until yhe account was in positive figures again.

I am not a South African National. I am on a passport and I am not permitted to have an overdraft facility. The bank have even confirmed this - i have previously asked if I can obtain a credit card or overdraft and they had categorically stated that I am not permitted to have credit in South Africa on a passport without a SA I.D number.

How can FNB give me an 'Overdraft facility' when I have not signed an agreement for one? Surely it is ******* for FNB to provide me with this facility unknowingly and then charge me huge amounts of interest for going into negative figures when I have never signed up for an overdraft. I have never agreed to this BYC facility either. There has never been any written consent.

They continue to transfer funds from one account to another without any notice, leaving me with no idea how much money is in my current account and then charge me R 400 interest for being R 400 overdrawn. This is ********* and ******* as far as I'm concerned. There are occasions when I am overseas and do not have signal to check my banking app to see what funds I have available. I will go away knowing I have R 10,000 available to spend on a trip and then find a certain amount of money has been moved to my savings account leaving me with a smaller balance, I over spend, go into my overdraft and get charged interest!!!! How is this ethical!!!

I have been to the bank over and over again and insisted them to stop the BYC automatic fund facility as well as terminate my ******* overdraft facility AND ask for a refund on all bank charges and nothing has been done. FNB owe me now over R 20,000.

I have 4 accounts with FNB including my children's accounts and if this is not resolved by the end of the month I will be moving my accounts.
