Unsuccessful employment
1. I was interviewed at [Branch 1]. After I mentioned [Particular Branch Name], the manager contacted them and I was later informed that this particular branch gave me a negative reference.
2. I was invited to an interview at Branch 2. The same Particular Branch was again contacted. I later discovered Branch 2 had contacted them again, and also a branch where I never worked.
3. Despite this, the Bank sent me documents to complete and I was called for fingerprint clearance, which I complied with.
4. I then changed my references and was again invited to an interview. I believe I performed very well in that interview.
5. The last interview was for two positions. I received an email stating I was unsuccessful for one branch, but could be offered a position at an about-to-be-opened branch. I accepted this offer via email and completed the forms again. This time I listed 5 references who have known me for the past 20 years within the bank.
6. I received communication from HR to submit a motivation letter and to state my financial position, and another email detailing 4 creditors. I complied, made payment arrangements, and provided proof of payments. One creditor was only listed a month ago. In March and April 2026, my *** was cleared.
7. After all these steps, I received a final "unsuccessful" notification. Upon inquiry, the Recruiting Manager for the new branch stated that because FNB is a financial institution, due to my recent credit record, she is unable to sign an offer letter, although she had taken my motivation letter to IR.
