************ Forex Charges
I made a forex payment for the first time and a question comes up: who will be responsible for the charges? We'll since the I am sending the money, I suppose I cannot charge the other party the exorbitant commission fee. Little did I know I would end up paying R550 to send R1000 to New Zealand, because this question is not about the already ridiculous fee that FNB is charging me to send the money, but to pay the bank fee of the other party! This is how FNB makes money, by omitting vital information so that people who think it's easy enough do it themselves, fall into a trap of paying unnecessary fees. For a bank who is always going on about helping me, they really aren't doing much to try and save me money. Especially in today's economical climate. Final straw FNB.
