Unresponsive on Urgent Home Loan Appeal – Application Declined Due to COP Spouse
My sister and I app**** for a home loan with FNB, and the property was meant to be registered strictly in both our names. The loan was initially approved, but once my sister’s husband was added to the application—solely due to them being married in Community of Property (COP)—the application was declined.
We checked his credit reports on both TransUnion and Experian, and there are no judgments, defaults, or legal issues recorded.
We have emailed FNB requesting specific details on why the credit bureaus flagged this so we can resolve it or submit an official motivation/appeal letter. We have received zero response or feedback, and this matter is extremely urgent as we are working against property transfer timelines.
The primary buyers (myself and my sister) fully afford this bond independently. We need an FNB home loan manager or credit consultant to contact us immediately to review our appeal and advise on next steps.
Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
