Unresolved ***** Investigation – Reference No. ***
I am writing to follow up on my previous message regarding the pledge placed on my FNB account on 16 September 2025. My original complaint, under Reference No. ***, has still not been acknowledged or resolved — and I have yet to receive any response or update from your team.
It is now well over three weeks since the initial incident, and despite numerous follow-ups, no one from FNB has contacted me, requested supporting documents, or provided any guidance on how I can assist in resolving the matter.
This complete lack of communication is unacceptable, especially given the serious nature of the allegations and the financial hardship this has caused.
In contrast, my Discovery Bank account, which was also affected by the same ABSA-linked matter, was handled promptly and professionally.
Discovery contacted me directly, requested proof of transactions and an affidavit, and have since been working with me to clear the issue. FNB, however, has failed to make any effort to engage or request relevant information that could help clear my account.
Your continued silence has placed me under extreme stress and has directly impacted my ability to conduct business as I am scared that if I transact again on another account it will be blocked.
I therefore respectfully request that the following be addressed immediately:
Written acknowledgment of this message or a email and confirmation that my previous correspondence was received.
A full update on the status of the investigation into Reference No. ***.
Details on what steps FNB is taking to resolve the issue and when I can expect access to my funds to be restored.
Confirmation of what documents or information you require from me to assist with your investigation.
Please note that according to FNB’s internal complaints process, I am entitled to a formal written response within a reasonable timeframe. If I do not receive a satisfactory reply within 48 hours, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to the FNB Complaints Resolution Office.
