Unreasonable Charges

Good day

Please be advised that it doesn’t make sense to charge R100 for a negative balance of R96, which was rectified immediately. When I purchased petrol, there was more than sufficient funds in the account, which your systems always reserve and approve the transaction. I expect the funds to be frozen and be reserved for the transaction as they are deducted immediately on my account after the purchase.

Why am I penalised for your system failures?

Maybe the Banking Ombudsman and/or the Consumer Commission will help me get answers and my money as I don’t understand and accept your response.

Reference : SD ********** **********

1st email : 30 June 2016

2nd email:25 July 2016

3rd email: 22 August 2016

4th email:29 August 2016

Awaiting response before I decide to move my account to another bank.
