Unprofessional business banking communication

I've been receiving SMSes like the following from FNB.

FNB. This is our 3rd notification regarding the required documents. Please submit to ********** or contact ********** 405. FNB, a div of FRB Ltd.

I sent and email to the address mentioned asking for more information, but with no response. Today I received a new sms saying that the company's bank account will be frozen if Fica documentation is not received by 1 December. (At least this time the company name was specified)

To this I have a couple of questions?

- Which company do you require FICA documents for (I'm involved in 2)?
- Which documents do you require?

- Since when is it ok for a bank to use sms as formal communication to a business like some backyard mechanic and then threaten to freeze the account if your unprofessional communication is not acted upon?

You have multiple proper communication channels in place (email, online banking) that you could use and have enough space to include the exact documents you require. So why use the one communication method that is completely inappropriate for business communication?
