unprofessional arrogant representatives

With the amount of advertising fnb does to get people to switch banks stating that the bank is user friendly and a better way to bank I decided to switch my account from standard bank to fnb. Worst mistake anyone could make.

I left a message on the site to be called back and i was called back. The consultant went through the application and i was advised that i would receive an sms when my card was ready for collection and the branch closest to me.

I was told i need to take my id and proof of residence to collect my card.

I went to the branch today and was assisted by Samantha Moodley. My finger prints was unable to verify on there system. I was told that i need to go to home affairs and get my prints taken again. I was harrassed as to why i wanted to switch banks, if i had any issues with standard bank and i was plain down treated as though i am a *****ulant person with ulterior motives. I was questioned as to why my prints were not avail from home affairs.

Out of fear i went to home affairs and my verification took 5mins. They gave me a certificate stating that the prints they have is valid and there was no need to do a new set.

I then went back to the bank and saw the very same consultant. She then advised me that she couldnt deal with my stress as she was pregnant and i am upsetting her. I should come back on monday and speak to her manager. She refused to assist me even though my prints were now verified.

Is this the way people are treated?

Why advertise if customers are being treated with such disrespect.

I intend on taking this matter forward and i will no longer require the services of a bank where customers are not being helped.

Instead of advertising how fnb can help consumers they should help themselves in getting professional staff to represent there brand better.

Fnb worst bank ever.

I
