Unprofessional and embarrassing service from FNB ***** department

On the 5th of August, I was ****med out of thousands of rands from my FNB personal account. I immediately contacted the FNB ***** Department and a case was opened. Case No: ***.

I was advised to cancel my card and block my banking profile, which we did telephonically.

A week later, I called to follow up and was told I had to wait 30 days and that they would communicate with me via email. I never received any email.

On the 3rd of September, I called the bank again to follow up and was informed that my case had been rejected and that I should speak to the "FNB Care Department". After holding for a long time, I spoke to Lebogang, who refused to give me her surname. I was told that my case was handled by Mr Carvin Hassen-Bootha, who was supposed to update me via email.

I was shocked to learn that the case had already been finalized and rejected long ago, yet every time I called before that, I was told to wait 30 days.

What saddens me more is that the same **** was attempted on my Capitec account, but Capitec detected it and blocked the transaction from going through.

I am deeply concerned about FNB's security systems our money is not safe at all. My ***** case has now been rejected without any communication. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
