Unpaid items charges is *******
After having been given a premier cheque account from FNB it seems there are charges that they do not tell you about. I have noticed month on month that I am getting 'Item unpaid' charges left right and center bringing my account into -R4000 every month. I get answers from FNB like
"Kindly be advised that we are unfortunately not in control of the merchants acceptable risk limit when they process a transaction when the clients does not have sufficient available funds. The acceptable risk limit is chosen by the merchant and unfortunately not by FNB. When a client processes a transaction under the acceptable risk limit of the merchant, the transaction will still be processed as the transaction will not dial for authorization from the bank therefore, we require our clients to always be up to date with their available balances in order to avoid the account from going into an excess/negative amount."
This is unacceptable, If i had monies in my account, it was available and I used it, then the merchant decides to bank later than usual, but I still had money available and made other purchases, due to the first merchant banking late my account goes into a negative and FNB has the audacity to charge me R110 per transaction. Look at the threads below:

If this is not fixed, i am closing the account today and going to another bank.
