Unpaid item charges?????

Let me start by saying " FNB is charging us fees for items we don't know about, please go through your bank statement"

Ok.. so let me explain... on the 17th of October 2017 i make an online purchase for a mere R129 at takealot, the money gets debited from my account (meaning the monry is gone, FNB has reserved that amount for takealot and my balance has gone down by R129).... Now listen to this!!!! Because Takealot is a merchant that only debited it on the 20th of October 2017, where at that date my account had less than that, I get charged an unpaid item fee of R110. (However FNB have taken the amount from my account on the 17th). I query this an they get some half witted clown to respond, I am a private banker paying exorbitant fees and this is what I get??? I need to take this up with the Banking Ombadsman.... My question to this is (that none of the clowns at FNB can answer).... why charge me an unpaid item charge when you have already deducted the amount from my account. PLEASE GUYS GO THROUGH YOUR BANK STATEMENTS..... THIS BANK IS RIPPING US OFF AND NEED TO BE BROUGHT TO BOO****!

Now listen to this.... this is what they send me!!! " At the time when the purchases were done, there were sufficient funds available in your account; however at the time when the merchant approached the bank to release the reserved funds there was unfortunately not sufficient funds to cover the purchases hence the honoring fee was charged by the bank. Please note that a great many merchants do not bank/present for settlement daily and will only do so every second or third day and maybe even longer in the case of a weekend. In some instances smaller card purchase will not dial through to the bank for authorisation (depending on the merchant’s floor limit) and the bank would therefore be completely unaware of the purchase until the merchant presents it for settlement. Unfortunately the onus lies with a customer to keep track of their spend, debit orders and card purchases accordingly in order to ensure that they have sufficient funds for their monthly commitments and in so doing avoid items being dishonoured and any associated penalty charges. THEY CAN'T ANSWER THIS QUESTION I POSED TO THEM: " Why take my money from my account on the day of purchase then, AND if I did not have sufficient funds in my account when the merchant presented the payment, WHY did my account not go into overdraft????
