Unpaid item charge

I'm writing this with a sore heart, due to delayed payments, 2 debit orders were supposed to go off my cheque account 2 debit out totaling R260, to my surprise FNB has charged me over R450 for unpaid item, I mean thats way more than the debit orders themselves way over.
