Unpaid insurance cover

The above mentioned insurance company have not paid my due to fotos that were not taken. This is not in the policy. I thought once the case is raised with SAPS they will contact them for further verification. The forensic police came to take finger prints and they promised to come back but they didn't. In the policy I have housing content, car cover and car hire. I was not given the car hire during that period so I had buy a new battery and took the car to Mazda to check there was malfunction in the car. Nothing was paid by the insurance. What must I do in the situation.
