UNPAID DEBIT ORDERS WHILE FUNDS AVAILABLE
On the 2nd February 2015 at 09:20 I notified Charity in the Premier Banking Division that my account would be overdrawn, but I had already withdrawn funds from my fixed deposit which would go into my account on the next day to clear the overdraft. Regardless of the fact that I have additional funds still in my fixed deposit account, which is linked to my current account and which will cover the overdraft 10 times over, and the fact that the funds from my fixed deposit reflected in my account first thing in the morning of the 3rd of February 2015, my debit orders were returned. My salary has gone into this account every month for the last 7 years, as well as additional sums of money, and I have maintained a rather large balance with FNB over the last year, and my account has not gone into overdraft in this time. Is this the value FNB hold for their clients???? I am disgusted, and as an ex-FNB staff member, very disappointed. I am in the process of buying a house, and this now seriously impacts on my application. This is totally unacceptable, and I will be withdrawing my investment and moving my current and savings accounts to another bank.
