Unknown deductions from the Bank

I just checked my balance and noticed an amount missing. I went online to check and I noticed that FNB subtracted money for "monthly account fees" on the 31st of March 2018. I know for a fact that my "monthly account fees" are deducted on the 14th of each month. Now I have the added hassle of being short of my Medical Aid deduction that will be done on the 3rd of April (due to the 1st being a public holiday). Very unhappy and concerned that deductions are made by the bank and no notification is sent. Even the standard "monthly account fees" I don't receive a sms notification. I think that FNB should send notifications for any deductions they do. I'm very upset about this extra deduction. Unfortunately it isn't the first time I've had this problem. I had to contact FNB before due to an unauthorised deduction. They reversed it but it takes some time. And now this deduction is causing problems because it was done over a long weekend. I have made an enquery on the ebsite but know from past experience that I get a better response time if I note it on HelloPeter. Please contact me urgently regarding this problem

I received a call from FNB. I was informed that the deduction was because they were calculating fees from the 15th to the 31st. But the lady on the phone (my husband spoke to her) sounded unsure. FNB could also not say why we didn't receive notice of this deduction before the time, neither could they tell us what we'll be paying for account fees on our regular deduction date (14th of April) and lastly FNB couldn't tell us if the account fees will increase before the annual increase in June (and what the new amount would be if it increases due to the VAT increase). Disappointed and saddened by the lack of information. We were told that they would get back to us regarding the questions we have concerning this matter.
