Unfair Penalties
I just returned from FNB branch where I informed customer care that my contract ended unexpectedly. I requested a lower monthly instalment as I'm currently unemployed. Pretty the customer consultant agreed to reduce my monthly instalment to R600.00 but said the debit order will still go off for the original amount. I told her I won't have money in my account and this will be an unpaid debit order. Which will result in penalties.

She just said nothing can be done about the situation. This is unfair as I have informed the bank and made arrangements but I still need to pay and my credit record will have a negative impact.

Please help

Information
Name: Rishaad Allie
ID: ***
Loan account: smart spend (***
contact no: ***
