********* Conduct by FNB
I am convinced that FNB needs to be reported to Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for its ********* conduct, which I am about to do post this report on Hello Peter. I have converted my credit card to a personal loan and have realised that I have been paying R484 towards their Credit Protection Plan (CPP) and I got advice of my Financial Advisor from PPS to cede this policy with my Life Cover, of which she gave me the forms to complete with FNB. I have since sent my request with relevant forms to FNB on Tuesday, 22 October 2019, and I was not responded to until I spoke with Marvin Dubruin of FNB. Subsequent to my conversation with Marvin, I’ve just received an e-mail from Laurelene Vermeulen stating that the CPP can only be cancelled/replaced with a policy that has “Death, Permanent and Temporary Disability or being unable to earn an income due to retrenchment or occupational disability”.
I am shocked as my Life Cover, states all these, in addition, I have been a government employee for over seven years now. In my view, FNB sees this CPP as part of *****ing its clients regardless of their loyalty and will try every trick to ensure that clients do not get of this trap.
I think this kind of ************ behavior by these so called major banks needs to be reported to the FSCA and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB). FNB I urge you to do the right thing and comply with my request or leave me with no option but comment on SARB LinkedIn account with this post.
