********* business practice by FNB

I have a business account with FNB and have been a FNB client since 1999.

My most recent disgust with FNB occurred around about 18 May 2018. My business account went into a negative balance due to several card swipes made by an employee using the incorrect card/account. These 5 swipes were done at tollgates for R11, R11, R5.50, R35, R35. These transactions were allowed by FNB despite no funds in the account.

To my disgust, I realised that FNB charged me R156.36 for each of these transactions amounting to R781.80 for the transactions totalling R97.50.

Upon realizing this ********* act, I sent an email to my 'senior business manager' requesting an explanation. A week later and no response forthcoming, I sent another email stating that I will be escalating this issue. Suddenly I receive a short, rushed email containing facts I already know.

Is this standard banking practice? If the 'swiped' amount was more than R156.36, would FNB still allow the transaction? This would put them at risk! How nice to charge a client R156.36 for allowing a R5.50 transaction.

I will surely be closing my FNB accounts if my ****** money is not returned!
