Uncertain FNB and their cold feet.
Where do i start regarding this terrible experience. I placed an order for a smart device on the 03/03/2020. the order was approved on the 04/03/2020. I received an email from Digital Planet to provide my TV licence details for verification. The tv licence was verified and then Digital Planet phoned me to request my Delivery Address i presume.
The call cut and i returned their call. I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Tevin who informed me that the order was placed on hold and i should contact FNB. I contacted FNB and was informed that the order is approved and the order is not on hold. i then received a call from Digital Planet while still speaking to FNB. I asked the lady to hold and i was then informed that my delivery address is verified and that i would receive a sms with the tracking information. I asked if everything was in order and there is no hold on the order. It was confirmed that the order is shipping out.
I received the sms with the tracking information. Upon logging in the website stated that the parcel would be delivered before on or the 05/03/2020. I then took leave and stayed home. The item was only despatched on the 06/03/2020. at 16:30 i phoned digital planet to enquire where the item is. I was then informed that the item was placed on hold by FNB. Even if the item is on the vehicle en route FNB can put the item on hold. I informed digital planet that i have heard this before and requested she make absolutely sure. She confirmed that i should contact FNB the order is placed on hold.
I then phoned fnb, I held on for over 25 minutes. I dropped and contacted back and found that the contact centre had closed at 5.
I placed an order for approval. It is FNB's responsibility to decide if they would like to approve the application. Why then approve the application then you have second thoughts. When the customer phones back you say oh no, there is no hold up. Everything is on going through. Then later despatch the item and create an expectation to the customer that the item is on its way. when the customer phones back the courier company says oh no looks like they got cold feet, please call them they having second thoughts again. the customer phones the contact and holds on for over 25 minutes only to find out that the contact centre has closed and i am to late. If the application was declined i would have understood.
