UNAUTHORIZED DEBIT ORDER

There's a debit order that is going to have me closing my FNB account that I have had for over 10 years. This debit order has a reference of Cell C and the amount started from R59 and yesterday it jumped to R939. What's on extreme annoyance is that the dates of the said debit orders changes every month, which in my view should be a sign for my bank of at least a decade that it's not authorized. Because if it was legal, then the initiator should have one debit date. As if this is not enough, all the amount have been deducted on periods where I have no money left. Meaning, I'm being penalised a R100 for each time the amount is marked "unpaid". To date, I have been changed R400 as a penalty by FNB within a period of 2 months because this debit order goes off at least twice a month. When I enquired and asked for reversl of the charges I'm told to:

1. Call Cell C, given a telephone number which I later discovered that it belongs to Nedbank and they confirmed that they have no records that I owe them any money.

2. Go find a cell c outlet stop the debit order. Now this is interesting since I have no damn clue what to say when I get to Cell.

Lastly, there's nothing that FNB can do, since the amount and the reference number keep changes. But my money is under the care of FNB and I expect the bank to protect my money not just authorize any payment because you make revenue out of the unpaid debit orders.

This is really my last resort before I close my account.
