Unauthorised transaction dispute

On the 26th May 2016 I emailed the card transaction division, as advised by my local branch, to lodge a dispute for an unauthorised transaction that went off my account for a renewal and upgraded McAfee subscription fee of $89.99 (R 2148. 33 ). I did not authorize this transaction and told the transaction division to reverse the payment as it was a once off subscription I did 2 years ago with no obligation to renew and definitely not upgrade! I have called FNB transactional division twice since and was asked to resend the form so that they can "escalate" this dispute. I spoke to BERTHA today at *** and was told I would need to check back in 48 hours if I hadn't heard anything. I can't keep calling to check up on this - surely if there is someone who should get back to me with regard to this. If there is anything that is needed for this to be escalated then I need to know. I am dissatisfied with the lack of communication and the fact that I've not been given a proper channel through which to communicate! I was told it would take 5 to 7 working days to reverse this transaction and I am still waiting!

FNB allowed my account to go into overdraft, making it impossible for me to meet my financial obligations for the month and causing me a great amount of stress and problems. In top of this, I received daily sms messages from FNB telling me my account is in arrears! Why would FNB allow such a transaction to go through when I don't even have an overdraft facility, and in the past, have communicated with me before an overseas payment was puy through my

I have received an email from FNB stating that "the merchant - McAfee' has 30 days to respond to this. I would like this matter to be dealt with immediately and demand that my money be paid back into my account. It was also pointed out to me by Samantha Marnitz that she has tried calling me to avail. She called on Thursday only - 3 times and the reason I could not take any of these calls is because I have relocated to Cape Town ( a week ago - in the midst of this fiasco) and have been in training in my new job which I started on Wednesday. I can ill afford this inconvenience and request an impromptu explanation and resolution. I cannot wait 30 days and I was initially told it would only take 7 working days, after which I found out that my dispute had not even been escalated! I am available to take calls after 5 pm week days and all day Sa****ays.

A month later and FNB has not contacted me nor rep**** to earlier post. Disgusting service from their claims department.
