Unauthorised debit order
A débit order is supposed to go off my account if I do not make a minimum payment on my credit card early in the new month, July in this case. This Haa been a longstanding arrangement for many years.
Suddenly FNB unilaterally changed the debit order date, which I complained about. FNB then said it was changing my debit order date back to what it had been for years. This morning I discovered that FNB had taken off a debit order on 25 June contrary to what they had said. I paid more than the minimum payment on 25 June, so FNB is now taking money twice in the same month.
Reverse that debit order that is in violation of our agreement immediately.

01 Jul 2022, 19:35After posting here, FNB gets someone to contact me insisting my debit order date was "always" the 25th. I told this person I wanted to speak to someone else. She just went silent. I contacted an FNB manager who kept telling me she was asking people to get back to me. For three days, it appears that her colleagues simply ignored her instructions. I had sent her proof as well that my debit order actually came off, even last year, on about the third of the new month. Tonight I have suspended the debicheck that FNB put on the wrong date unilaterally, and I am going to go to the Ombud next week.
