Unauthorised credit checks
I have credit checks on my name that happened in September 2020. FNB said they would investigate, but these unauthorized credit checks are still appearing on my name, and they never came back to me about it. What's frustrating is that the banks use this as a benchmark to determine our risk level. I don't understand why these checks were done when I did not apply for any credit from FNB. THIS IS *********!!!!!

Please note that on this month's credit report, these enquiries are still showing in my name. FNB has not done anything about them since August 2020 when I posted this complaint.
It is really ********* for Banks to do this because they utilise these lowered credit scores which they are negatively influencing by these unauthorised credit checks. As a result, they charge us high-interest rates, under the premise that we are 'high risk'.
This must be prohibited, I think the Ombudsman and the NCR must do something about this.
