Unauthorised and ********** Credit Card Debit by FNB & Dollar Thrifty

The EXCESS of R21,865.64 that I owed to Thrifty -Mthatha was successfully and correctly deducted in the Mthatha branch on 25 June 2019. I received proper in contact notification both on my phone and cell phone.

When I was booking flights late on 28/06/2019 I noted an unauthorised and ********** transaction of R21,865.64 went off my FNB credit card on 27 June 2019. It was done by Dollar Thrifty -Kempton Park. (i) Surprisingly NO incontact notification came to my cell phone nor e-mail. (ii) Thrifty managed to deduct a same amount (as on 25/06/2019) **********ly and it went way above my FNB credit card limit. This can only be possible through FNB staff and Dollar Thrifty-Kempton Park collusion.

Thrifty is giving me a run around and they say they are investigating as they did not deduct on 27 June 2019. I spoke to FNB online staff through their app four days ago. They e-mailed me credit card dispute form, which I filled in and e-mailed back to FNB. It's now four days and no update from FNB on how did Dollar Thrifty-Kempton Park had (i) access to my account and (ii) managed to **********ly double deduct and exceed my credit card limit. I'm still waiting for both FNB and Thrifty to return my money.

Please FNB protect customer information and unauthorised debits.
