Unathourised activity on my online profile

On Thursday the26th of January 2017 it was noticed that my Online Profile had been modified (Secondary user privileges removed) on contacting the bank the secondary user (My Wife) was advised that only the main user (Me) has authority to change or enquire on the profile. On contacting online banking helpline through a long process (e-mail and telephone) and several high security questions to ensure that it is indeed me and no one else later was advised that the problem is rectified and that it was modified due to new requirements which are not disclosed to the public.

I was advised on Friday the 27th of January 2017 that the system has been rectified and that I will be able to add and modify the secondary user as of Lunch time on the 28th of January 2017.

On the 30th of January 2017 I again made contact with the institution and again on the 31st of January 2017 without any reply.

For the record as of date 31st of January 2017 the issue still has not been resolved and now am met with silence from FNB Online banking support

I asked as to why they could not assist the secondary user direct and was advised that only myself as the account holder has authority to change or access or modify the settings on the online profile and no one else has the authority

FNB is not able to answer any of my questions yet rectify the situation

Questions are as follows

If this is my account and all controls are done by me and no one else is allowed to modify or change or access my account

1. Who gave permission to modify my account if only I am allowed to?

2. If no one can access or modify my account and only I can then how can whoever blocked the secondary user have gained access to my account how was this done and why (Serious Breach)?

3. If I am the only one who can give permission to modify the account after going through several tough security questions then how as it modified without my knowledge or permission?

4. Why was I not notified prior to the changes taken place or is this really a top secret item implemented by some top official from some organization to control the sheepels of South Africa without my authority?

I was advised that not even the secondary user has permission to modify my account even with a power of attorney

1. If this is the case then how can someone unknown to me without power of attorney modify my account and settings?

I was advised verbally on Friday by online banking rep that these are stricter controls enforced to minimize ***** and only 1 user per account is allowed to modify it?

1. So Joint Accounts is no longer allowed?

2. Is that why both myself and my wife is not able to view her bank cards?

I guess these questions will remain unanswered as the bank can and will control all transactions and user details without permission from the main user and anyone within the banking institution has access to view and modify without having any security questions given or answered while the account holder is treated as though he is a ******** (so what security measures are in place to protect your account settings and privacy if anyone from the institution is able to view and modify without any permission from the account holder?
