Unacceptable Behaviour From FNB
I had two people transfer money into my account on Thursday the 24/12/2020 and I only received these amounts on the 29/12/2020. I do understand back in the day when we followed this law were we receive the funds on Fnb business operational days but as a private client I'm promised by FnB 24/7 service which clearly means that fnb provided me a service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365/366 days a year service which means everyday, whole day is considered business hours. So can fnb legal team please explain as to why was my money held for so long??? Everyday is a working day inclusive of all public holidays!!! There's no longer FNB branch operational hours of 9am-15:30pm and Saturday 9am-11am so why hold the customers money's for so long. Fnb is ripping customers off in the billions of Rand per year with this stunt which is unacceptable. If I received my funds as soon as fnb received these amounts from the other banks and I paid these amounts the same time into my bond, I would have saved on unnecessary interest. How come Capitec clients get their money same time but we have to wait for 5 days. What does fnb do with all these funds for the 5 day??? I'm pretty sure fnb accumulated interest for themselves in this time!!! Another thing is how come with Fnb we have to pay R45 per pay and clear transaction whilst Capitec pays R8 and Standard Bank Pays R10 per Transaction?
