Unable to port to mtn

I am having issues porting from FNB connect to MTN. I tried following the steps given by mtn but I get no reply from the multiple PortMe sms's I have sent. I want my number why is this process so difficult?? You provide me with free data every month but I can't use it I never have signal and when I do the connection is slow I'm sick of it and want to move with my number. Mtn said I should contact you and ask you to approve the port so the process is faster. So please make this faster
