Unable to get a Prepaid Sim Card

I am an existing account holder with FNB, and have never had an issue until now.

In December, I walked into the branch to get a FNB Connect prepaid sim card. The consultant told me that she was experiencing an error on the system. She called her superior to assist, she had one glance and told her to take my details down, and they will sort it out later and call me when to collect the sim card. To this day I have not heard back from them. The sim card and my details was just shoved into a draw...

I then decided to apply online. And I am getting the error: "Thank you for submitting your application. Unfortunately we have encountered an error and one of our specialist consultants will contact you shortly.". I miss ONE call, which happens to be FNB (Just my luck), and I get an sms shortly after saying I MUST CONTACT THEM! And I never heard from them again. *** . I logged a query online regarding this, and I get a very unhelpful response: "Please note we have been attempting to call you regarding your request with no success." Reference: ********** Q

I tried applying online again, and got the same error. ***. I get a call this morning regarding this and I get put through to so many people who don't seem to know what is going on. I got put through to Credit Card (somehow), FNB Connect, Sales, back to FNB Connect, and when I asked for a manager, I waited for ages then they just took my details down and I got disconnected.

Why is it so difficult to get a prepaid sim card?? It should be as simple as providing my proof of residence and my ID and I should just get it. It's like its too technical at FNB that they can't give more descriptive errors and noone can resolve it. SHOCKING!
