Ufair treatment
Good morning I hereby wish to share my dissatisfaction with the way FNB credit card department handled my case. I am an old client of FNB with four accounts including a housing bond, aspire cheque account, credit card and personal loan. The housing bond is up to date while the credit card and personal loan are both in arrears due to historical financial difficulties. That being said, my financial situation has improved, but I am unable to do anything in life as my name is tied to a credit card full outstanding balance that is listed on credit bureau. I have done everything possible trying to negotiate with FNB legal as well as Symington Attorneys but all in vain. What I fail to understand is that FNB agreed to list the agreed upon instalment for a personal loan account but is refusing to apply the same principle on a credit card account. This is negatively affecting my affordability assessment quite badly, as the full outstanding balance counts as part of my monthly obligations.
