Two weeks to refund excess amount paid on settled loan

<p>May I please understand why FNB Personal loan is taking more than two weeks to refund the excess amount which was paid to my settled loan on the 23rd of June. </p> <p> </p> <p>I would expect this to be a simple process like transfering money from my cheque to my loan account. After calling the personal loans call centre I was advised to expect the funds only in July.</p> <p> </p> <p>This has resulted on my cheque account being overdrawn because there was not enough funds for my debit transactions, of which FNB will definitely throw a rediculous charge. Is FNB going to pay me interest for the excess funds that they are holding for over two week???</p>
