Try banking foreign exchange!

I have a cheque from the UK, it is a special cheque, a warrant from the british government. Good as cash you would think!! and SA need foreign exchange??

So, I go to FNB with a letter from the insurance company in the UK that sent me the cheque explaining that the cheque is in fact a warrant and FNB say it will take 6-8 weeks to bank as it has to go back to the UK to cheque funds are available!!! It's made out from the British government you *****s!!

Anyway, losing the will to live, I agreed to wait 6-8 weeks and filled in a 6 page form! Now FNB calls me to say I must return and sign the cheque!! The letter states I do not need to sign it!! *****s again!!

WHY oh WHY in 2016 does it take a bank 6-8 weeks to deposit a cheque???

Whilst I am complaining, my business account is with FNB. THe business is profitable and helping students gain work experience +/-250 students a month - do you think a can get a loan from FNB to push the business forwards and create employment - NOT A F***ing chance .... I am moving banks, not that I expect anything different elsewhere, but just had enough of FNB! Oh and another thing, I took the idea of 087* numbers to FNB and they stole it from me!!
