Trust fund fixed deposit

As a beneficiary of a fixed deposit in my late father's name the interest which was to go to his wife u lntil she passed away. Which she did in August last year. The executor of the will I informed FNB not to renew the fixed deposit and the Master of the court finalized the matter and stated the money to be distributed only then the executor was told the fixed deposit was reinvested for another 2 years against her instruction. The bank refuses to cancel the fixed deposit and says there is nothing they can do. The bank manager has promised to get back to the executor and power of attorney but has not done so. It's wrong of the bank to do this
