TREATED LIKE A LEPPER BY FNB!

I have a very contentious issue that has been carrying on for years regarding the recording of my payment history by FNB and their vendors for overdue accounts, due to loss of income.

I have made contractual telephonic arrangements with both your (FNB’s) vendors and I have being paying both these facilities regularly for more than 12 months, but since last year – my credit profile has been updated with 9 missed payments! My installment is reflecting the full amount of the outstanding debt due, despite honoring arrangements for both accounts and receiving monthly acknowledgements from both vendors. I have approached both vendors for assistance with no success – not to mention that I have been “dealt” with very rudely and almost inhumanely (specifically by GL Attorneys) and have had no success with requests for payment statements, so l may log a dispute with Experian or approach the National Credit Regulator or even direction to the relevant sources for correction of the information.

The incorrect allocation/recording of my payments are in direct contravention with the National Credit Act no.34 of 2005, section 65 and 66. My rights as a consumer permit that I must have access to documentation regarding to my credit information and more importantly, that I may not be disadvantaged by the incorrect recording of my payment history.

I have tried contacting FNB Card Legal Collections and for assistance on several occasions and since my last email to them in March this year, I've had absolutely NO FEEDBACK or intervention from them! I'm even been turned away at the walk-in branches, but in their defense - it's simply out of their purview. They do help by putting me on their branch phone with Card Collections and guess what - NO ANSWER!

FNB is apparently amazing when they're convincing you to join them - but the moment you need their help, the only person left welcomes you at some of their branches with "How can we help you?" (ironically this is their slogan...) - which leads to NO HELP!

So I was contacted by FNB (via email) re my complaint, asked for additional information - which I sent and all I was told was we see you've been making payments and here's your statement and basically pay your debt and we'll fix it... As I said - treat human beings like leppars... My wife will be closing her FNB accounts and we will no longer be working with FNB in future.
