Transaction Reversal - Pathetic Customer Service

I am disgusted with the lack of response received from FNB who are meant to pride themselves on their customer service. My boyfriend requested a reversal on a transaction on 7 April 2016 and was advised that this can only be done after 30 days. After the stipulated 30 day timeframe, he contacted FNB again and was told that this reversal cannot be processed, despite him advising the call centre operator on 7 April that he cannot locate the service provider whom he paid for a new cellphone. Surely at a basic level, FNB is able to provide this service to its clients who have been a victim of a ****? How are the clients protected and where are key players who are meant to revert with updates and assistance? I am an editor and will ensure that this complaint gets media traction. There is no excuse for pathetic service in 2016!

Reviewer Update
Dear Melinda I have asked my boyfriend to email those details to the email address provided, which he has subsequently done. It is shocking to me though that a review on this forum solicits such a fast response, yet he has been trying for so many weeks to get feedback from FNB from the customer care department. Surely this is not how you deal with complaints? I am hoping this issue gets resolved expeditiously before I am forced to alert the media.

Dear Tivania,

Thanks for responding. May I ask when the email was sent as I just accessed the Care email and cannot find any emails for my attention?

May I alternatively request that the email is forwarded to *** for me to investigate?

Regards
