Totally disgusted!!!!!
I have advised FNB that I am currently on maternity leave and due to the lockdown I have not been able to get my maternity UIF paid. For the last two months they have taken the fees, which is fine, but then last month they allowed debits to go off my account when there was not money in my account and this without me having an overdraft facility on my account.
Last week I was advised that due to my account being overdrawn my debit card has been cancelled, which I kind of understand, but then today they advised that further action is being taken. How does this work when I advised them last week that I am not making any money?
I told them that I am going to try my best to get this situation sorted out but can only do so at the end of the month, but now I get this message via SMS.
I have never had a problem with FNB and have always thought them to be better than the others, but now I am seeing a different side as there are a lot of people battling out there and I am wondering who else they are doing this to.
My account has been put on "hold" and my debit card cancelled due to them allowing money to come off the account with no credit facility active. This was also done without letting me know or even contacting me even though their system advised as such and I know for a fact that I did not speak to anyone or did not receive a call from anyone because I keep track of these things especially at the moment. Now they want me to, if I do pay up and have my account activated again, pay for another card too. I really don't understand these people.
I am really disgusted in how this whole situation has been handled and am going to move banks.
I might have to wait longer for my maternity UIF money now as I will need to change banks before going to claim but heck, it will be better than having to deal with this I guess.
