Time to Switch
Thank you for the sms / text message I received on the 22/10/2021 to notify me that I would need to purchase a smartphone and download your fnb app, update my personal information by the 18/01/2022 in order for me to remain compliant and continue transacting with my OWN MONEY which I work for Monday - Friday!!
Firstly I cannot speak to a consultant to amend my address that is not correct on the print out I did, due to a digit being cut off on the print out
In order to receive assistance on my OWN account I would need to ensure that I have a stupid App to receive a One time Pin so that the consultant knows that she is speaking to the account holder - RIDICULOUS
Tried this exercise twice - no luck because why apparently the OTP cannot be sent to my cell number listed on my account, unless I do cellphone banking as per the second consultant.
Not every one has or WANTS a smartphone but hey lets implement this BRILLIANT IDEA will definitely call in clients.
You have finally helped me make the decision to switch banks due to the SMS as well as the lack of service on the call centre because of a new system that was implemented requiring the client to provide an OTP.
Just because Technology is changing does not mean everyone has to be a sheep and follow behind because no one has a mind of their own anymore
Thank you for helping make my decision.
I received 2 other messages thereafter including that "we have attempted to contact you to no avail" - I was able to answer the call the second time, which proved fruitless as they consultant thought I was interested in the App - DEFINITELY NOT. Then the other option was to do cellphone banking due to security reasons at the call centre, I would need to receive a OTP so that I am who I say I am.
Quite fruitless, so should someone elderly in your family wish to access their money, they would need a smartphone, data and download the App in order to remain compliant.
No help at all.. We must all be SHEEP!!
