Third party claim delay

I had an accident on the 17 of August in the freeway, fast lane , whereby the FNB insurer driver dead break without any obstruction in front of him. Due to the time and distance I couldn’t stop in time , I bumped to him at the back, the accident was unavoidable as there was a barrier on the right hand side and I couldn’t change lane as I already reduced the speed and the other cars on lane three were moving fast. When the accident happened, there were two officers driving on lane 1 who witnessed the accident happening.

The driver apologies and said he will give me his insurance details to claim as a third party.

FNB has referred my claim to Neil Govender attorneys and I kept being told the claim will be finalised soon.

I have a written off car that is standing without knowing what to do with it.

The delay is affecting me emotionally and financially as I’m required to rent a car and paying around 8000 monthly with the money that I don’t have.

How hard it’s to validate the statement with the photos and witnesses, or is this the delay tactics to make me suffer more and more until I gave up. Why if FNB didn’t want me to claim as third didn’t said so from the start I would have taken alternative routes.

It’s frustrating that you cover your client for third liability but when it comes to paying you run around.
