These FNB staff need training to deal with clients in need of assistance.
What a disaster dealing with FNB today. I called to get help with my cards not working while I'm abroad. I spoke to Unathi and then Sweetness on the secure chat. Both seem barely knowledgeable on who could help me and both advised me to contact the ***** department. Why ***** when it isn't a ***** case? It also seems like Sweetness got info from Unathi of what he said to me so that she could say the same. I told Sweetness that I'll try calling them but she needs to also put in a request for them to call me back. She responded by saying that she can't do that. I don't understand why she isn't able to because I have had this done before from a secure chat. I advised her that I'll get it sorted out myself. Sad that I needed help but didn't get any. Unathi and Sweetness as secure chat advisors seem to serve no purpose at FNB.
Second to that which seemed to be even worse of an experience was the person I got a hold of on call. He said his name which I didn't hear. I asked him to repeat his name but he did not. The number that I called which he answered was +***4 at 21.05pm on the 15th November. Pull up the call logs to see who it was that spoke to me.
He was rude. He had no patience and seemed like he hated his job. I could tell early that he did not listen to me from the beginning based on him explaining something that Initially told him I had already done which was ask for my cards to work internationally. After telling him that, he still tried to tell me that's what I suppose to do. I didn't call FNB for a lecture, I called for help. Whoever that person is, needs to be trained to speak to clients, be respectful and appreciate the job that he has. Be patient with clients. The delays on the call weren't because my line is bad, it's because I'm calling from abroad. That should also explain how desperately I needed help because I can't come in to any branch for assistance. Please give that advisor training and make sure he speaks to clients in a better manner. My experience with him was completely ****.
After him, I spoke to a person called Conrad (I might be wrong with the name). A master at his job. He knew exactly which department I needed to be at and tried to transfer me. The call ended up cutting but he was definitely right about the department because I called back and got stuff done. Conrad is excellent and is definitely a employee of value.
Once I got on the line again, Mtokozisi assisted. He really helped me with my needs. He made sure whatever I needed was done. He was polite and respectful. He understood the delay on my line and listened carefully to what I asked for. People like him and Conrad are the reason FNB still has clients.
FNB, please train your less capable staff. Their attitudes don't suit their occupation. Out of 5 people, 2 were helpful and 3 weren't. More training for the ones that come to work angry and hate their jobs. More rewards for the kind and helpful employees like Mtokozisi and Conrad.
The call log time in SA should be 19.05, 15 November
