There is no help in \how can we help you\""

I have banked with FNB since I was at university, so that is 30 years. I had my student loan through them, bought a house through them. My wife has had a relationship with FNB for 26 years of which she dedicated 18 years as an employee and even becoming a manager. Life happened and many things went wrong for us including losing our business and retrenchment. While this was going on we tried our best to hold on to our dignity and our very few possessions.First National Bank has gone through many many marketing campaigns , of which the best one so far has been \how can we help you\". I believe marketing campaigns should not just be marketing , it should be a culture and I can honestly say that in that time the help I needed was never provided. When one falls in arrears it is obvious that there is a problem but somehow Fnb's solution has always been \"pay more\". Never was I ever offered a mortorium or a rescheduling of my home loan, which would have at least meant that I paid less. It has been a struggle and now again they are threatening me with legal action. Other banks offer real solutions like consolidation, rescheduling and moratorium. Increased payments is all i get."
