Theft by Debit Orders
Email sent to FNB - NO RESPONSE !
I reported another incident to the FNB call center, Ref. No. RM *** On 27 March another unauthorised debit was made on my business account for R 21 000,00
Dear valued customer • FNB :-) R21000.00 paid from Current a/c..****** @ Eft. Ref.Bank Adjustment Dr S. 27Mar 21:25 Please do NOT reply to this message as it is sent from an unattended mailbox. It seems to me that anyone can present debit orders which were not authorised by me, and FNB takes my money and pays whoever presents a debit order. For on-line purchases I must approve a purchase, but here I don't even get asked. FNB takes my money and pays whoever wants my money, like I have no say in the matter. How can FNB do that? Can I present a debit order and get paid? Will people be happy? Of course not, that is theft. But here we have FNB dishing out my money without my consent.
I regard the debit of R 21 000,00 as theft from my account. I was never approached, there are no invoices or claims. There is no court order and no judgement, there is nothing but a *****ulent debit, which is theft.
I insist that a restriction be placed on my accounts, all of them, that no debits orders are to be paid out, does not matter who presents them. I am the only one that can make payments from my accounts. I do not authorise FNB to make any payments on my behalf. Funds may only be paid by myself. Please confirm that such a restriction will be put in place. I entrusted FNB to keep my money safe and secure, but FNB squanders my funds without consulting me.
If people want money from me, they can send me an invoice detailing what it is they want. If neither of us agree we go to court. FNB has no right to make payments to a third party that I did not authorise.
I want the transaction either reversed, or FNB will refund me, as FNB took money out of my account without my consent. Like I said, that is theft. Please give the mater your urgent attention, as I intend to hand the matter over to an attorney to claim the funds from FNB.
TO DATE NO RESPONSE FROM FNB !
