Theft at FNB Randburg in December

I am completely appalled at FNB Randburg, there was a break in early December, all our saftety deposit boxes were ******, to date we have had no information regarding the details of the incident, the progress of the investigation or the measure taken in order to assist us the FNB CLIENTS who pay monthly fees for the use of this facility. All we were asked to do was get an affadavit from the Police Station listing the items which were contained in the box.

I have stuff to the value of R200k in that box, now I have nothing, my kids have nothing and we have no family legacy as everything of financial and sentimental value was meant to be safe kept in the FNB Box.

When you go to access the box, the security is so tight, for the live of me I cannot comprehend how this happened and FNB is so nonchalant about this. The latest is we receive a letter (generic one) at that stating that FNB is not responsible for replacing any lost property, apparently there is in the fine print a clause which states that the clients are meant to insure their valuables with their personal household insurance and that they are prepared to pay the EXCESS, can you believe this, so FNB is reclusing themselves completely from the situation and renaging on all liability and responsibilty. HOW TYPICAL !!!

What's really sad is that I have had an account with FNB for over 25 years, I persaude all my clients to bank with them as well as my immediate family, just so that they CAN ***** ME OVER.

I am entitled to answers and compensation cause if I wanted this to be covered by my household insurance I would of kept all my belonging in a safe at home......

I want to know if there are any other people who are facing my dilemma's, we need to come together and fight FNB.

FNB, this is definitely not going to go away, so you better brace yourselves...........
